The plague has been vanguished, so - time to hit the road. I've been in denial, because I really don't want to leave here. But the truth is that my planner says that I'm leaving today, so I guess I'm leaving. After all, I always do everything my planner tells me to do (unless it requires me to use a telephone. In which case I put it off for somewhere between 1 and 5 days, then bribe myself with novels and chocolate. Good thing I don't have to make many phone calls.)
Sue Ella continues to be my best patron by far - she bought another large painting, plus a couple of small ones for Christmas presents. Actually, she bought over half of what I made while I was here.... On the karmic balance, I definitely owe her. But, for now, I'll ignore that and just continue shaking up the lives of her kids. (Sophie continues to enjoy the Hobbit and Ben is now planning on learning Perl.)
I whipped up a fun little painting yesterday morning, but haven't put it up on the web yet. (I did put up the other little paintings, but they're taken down already 'cause they're sold.) The subject is - another dead leaf, of course. What else would I possibly want to paint?
I've been wrapping art for Christmas presents. And framing art for my show. And looking forward to seeing Jenny at Solstice!!!!! I never get to see Jenny enough. And I guess I'm looking forward to seeing Jeremiah and Tomoko's baby too, though I'm pretty ambivalent about babies. |
